Butch & Lud,

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the boxes of supplies!  The whole troop had a great time digging through them.  You hit the nail on the head with good snacks and toiletries.  The wooden sign from David is proudly hanging in the troop command post where everyone can see it.  The books and word games are really popular too – we have a lot of readers in the unit that read to take their minds off things.

In case my mom didn’t mention it, we’re an Air Cavalry unit – mostly Kiowa helicopters with a few Blackhawks, Apaches and Chinooks thrown in.  Our primary mission is providing aerial reconnaissance and armed security for the ground units in Kandahar Province.  It looks like it will be a busy summer but we’re enjoying the work so far.  Really appreciate your thoughts, prayers and supplies.  I’ll try to get some pictures out soon.
